If you have added a server to the monitoring system, or someone else has done it earlier, you can confirm your ownership of the server.
This is necessary in order to change the server’s settings, such as its description or address.
- Before starting the server ownership verification process, you need to register: https://www.gs4u.net/en/registration.html
After registering, don’t forget to check your email and click the activation link to confirm your account. - Go to your server’s page on the monitoring site and click the link that says "Claim this server", located on the right under the "Rating" and "Share" blocks.
- A page will open where you can start the verification process. First, click on "Request ownership of this server!" on the right.
- On the left, you’ll see instructions telling you to change your server’s name by adding a special code (provided to you) to the beginning of the name. Copy this code and go to your server hosting panel to rename your server accordingly.
Note: In many cases, you’ll need to restart your server for the name change to take effect. - Make sure the new name with the code is visible. Once you’ve confirmed the code appears in your server name, return to the verification page and click "Refresh". If nothing changes, wait 2 minutes and click "Refresh" again. If everything is correct, you’ll see a message indicating that ownership verification was successful.
