A server's position in the GS4u.net rankings depends on its active Premium Points and regular points. You can see both totals and the server's current position in the rating section of its page.
How servers are ranked
- Active Premium Points come first. The more a server has, the higher it ranks.
- If servers have the same number of Premium Points, regular points decide their order. The server with more regular points ranks higher.
- Servers without Premium Points are ranked by their regular points.
For example, a server with one active Premium Point ranks above a server with none, even if the second server has more regular points. If both have the same number of Premium Points, regular points make the difference.
This order applies when the list is sorted by rating. Your selected game and filters determine which servers appear in the list.
What helps you earn regular points
- Keeping your server online. The calculation takes into account your server's availability, or uptime, as recorded by the monitoring system. Downtime affects its regular points.
- A server description and verified ownership. A published description and verified ownership count towards your score. A description submitted for review does not count as published yet.
- Visits to your server's page. Share the link with players and add it to your community's website. The calculation uses page views counted by the system; repeated and automated requests may be filtered out.
- Views of GS4u banners. You can add a banner displaying your server's details to your website. Views of the banner count, rather than simply adding the image. You'll find the banners on the Banners tab of your server's page.
- Shares on VK and Facebook. GS4u uses the share counters from these two social networks. Links shared on other social networks can still bring visitors to your server's page, but those shares do not earn separate points.
How long a server has been listed on GS4u also affects its regular points. These actions do not secure a fixed position: other servers' scores change too.
How to estimate your rank with Premium Points
Open your server's page and select To top! or Premium points in the rating section. Choose the global ranking or the ranking for your game, then select how many new points to buy. The page will show the price and an estimated position.
Both views use the same Premium Points. Switching between them changes which list the estimate is based on; you do not need to buy separate points for the global and game rankings.
The estimate is based on other servers' current scores. It does not reserve that position for as long as your points remain active: other servers can gain points and move up or down too.
Each purchase of Premium Points is valid for 30 days after activation. Buying more points does not extend the validity of earlier purchases. You can see when each active purchase expires on the same page.
Purchased Premium Points still count towards the server’s general score for up to 366 days after their term ends.
